Deirdre Hayes

Deirdre is a Solicitor in the firm’s Conveyancing Department, having originally joined Joynt & Crawford in 1993.   Deirdre’s main practice area covers all aspects of property law including residential and commercial conveyancing, leases, letting agreements and mortgages. 


Deirdre has experience acting for one of Ireland’s largest Approved Housing Bodies (AHBs) in relation to the purchase of high-value, high-volume, residential unit developments for use in social housing (to include Part V, New Build, Second-hand, Private Leasing Scheme, Mortgage to Rent).  These acquisitions are facilitated by a variety of financial streams including the Department of Housing, Local Government & Heritage (Rebuilding Ireland –Action Plan for Housing and Homelessness), the Housing Finance Agency (HFA) etc. and Deirdre’s work includes liaising with the solicitors for the various lenders with regard to putting the relevant securities in place to fund the acquisitions.

In addition, Deirdre has extensive experience in civil litigation working for both national and international clients, including banks and other financial institutions, companies and private individuals. Deirdre’s experience in this area covers all jurisdictions from the District Court up to and including the High Court.
